Roger Wang serves as the current President of Marketing Institute of Singapore since March 2014. With over 20 years of experience in the Marketing and Sales industry, Roger’s expertise lies in Development of Marketing Strategies, Market Research, creating break-through ideas, new product development, events and exhibition, branding, media plans, and marketing planning.
Before pursuing his dreams as an entrepreneur, Roger has also been a civil servant and served as management in industries like food health, plastics, oil & lubricant, and many more. He had strategised marketing and promotion campaign designs for top brands including M1, Starhub, Sony, Huawei, LG, HSBC, POSB, and Standard Chartered.
Roger is also the Founder and President of Global Chinese Marketing Federation. He is an alumnus of Nanyang Technology University and holds a Masters of Science (Marketing) from National University of Ireland, Dublin.

There is no shortage of articles examining and exploring what the future of Marketing will be like. Many experts have offered their thoughts on what will shape and drive marketing into 2020 and predicting the next big trend! I will share my thoughts today focusing specifically on one of the next frontiers for innovation and competition in Marketing practices: Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
VR and AR technologies are increasingly being used in the Marketing process. These create a simulated interactive environment that can enhance consumers’ buying experience and connect them to the brand. The use of VR and AR in Marketing will revolutionise the meaning of Marketing’s engagement with consumers and change the concept of reality in human senses and consumer perception.
