Leveraging the Power of Enterprising Mindsets

Abstract

Excellent organisations very often create innovative products, services or processes that deliver exceptional value both to their customers and to themselves. Such superlative marketing ideas and practices will necessarily need to leverage on the power of enterprising mindsets. By examining transformational marketing practices from outstanding organisations and drawing real life examples from global and Asian companies, this session seeks to share some of the most innovative and relevant marketing principles and practices that should benefit all organisations.

Hooi Den Huan is Director of the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Supervisor of the Asia Marketing Federation Foundation.

He was a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School of Management, MIT and is a Chartered Marketer (CIMUK), Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and a Babson TETA Fellow.

Together with Philip Kotler and Hermawan Kartajaya, he co-authored Rethinking Marketing (also with Sandra Liu) ([2003], Think ASEAN! [2007], Think New ASEAN! [2015] and Marketing for Competitiveness (2017).

Den was conferred the Distinguished Global Leadership award by the Pan-Pacific Business Association in 2011, the ICSB President’s Award in 2014 and a Fellowship by the Marketing Institute of Malaysia in 2016.
